first i aologize to everyone who watches me for updates in my art, i know they have been rather sparce for a while now, but finally, i am done with school. and not just done, but done done, as in graduating on saturday, thats right, you are all looking at a fully qualified aerospace engineer come saturday morning.
now whenever i hear or someones says to me "it doesnt take a rocket scientist" i can accuratly respond with a "yes, it does" or "no, get away from me" as the situation dictates. wow, 5 years of ball punching classes, good friends, and florida weather and it is done with..... but, i may be back down here again in a couple monthes, who knows, i might even be working for NASA.

sitting at my computer and looking out my window at the palm trees bent over and the rain coming in at a 45 degree angle, again. im not even sure how many hurricanes ive been through in my 5 years in college here in florida, i just know they have a pension for hitting exactly where i am. so far the street outside is flooded as the drainage system sucks, the lawn out behind my building is a mud pit, and someone has already pulled the fire alarm on the next building over at 6am.

i guess the hurricane itself will hit slightly lower down the coast, but we will still have some damn good winds, nothing like last year mind you, me and my friend nick went out the day after jeanne, or whatever it was and videotaped the wreakage, then nick went swimming in the street, kinda creeky, but i had to admire his boldness.

anyway, so yeah, just thought id update everyone as to the state of central florida at this time, oh and dont listen to CNN, they lie about everything that goes on down here, i swear if i get one more frantic phone call from a relative blabbering on about "projected flying cow warnings" or "tornados the size of texas approaching" ill just snap.

ok, so i just watched most of ghost in the shell - innocence, which has been getting all sorts of raves since it came out and i was thuroughly disapointed. dont get me wrong, it is visually magnificent and beautiful. soem such scenes seen to have been only there to show off the talent of the artists and strech on for extended periods adding nothign to the storyline which was very thin at best.

i didnt even finish watching it to be honest, i got an hour and 10 mins into it and paused it to go to the bathroom and didnt care to finish watching it. i know they were going for more of a high brow philosophical theme disguised in fantastic graphics, but i swear if just one more character quoted poetry.............really, how is it every person in the film was a philosopher? the premise of the story went nowhere either, just as in the first ghost in the shell, but minus the animated nudity.

so overall this film is worth it if you liked matrix revolutions, which also sucked, but for me, im sick of the robotic, implant, do we have souls argument that everyone seems to be doing. this film is visually amazing, but thats about it, alright enough with my little rant, see ya later...........

first of WOOHOO!

a while back i posted an airship drawing on deviantart, which to be truthful was only half the project as i added in a short text story to go along with the piece. the whole thing is a piece of fanart devoted to the comic series "girl genius" done by phil & kaja foglio. the storyline ricks, the artowrk is amazing, and their imagination is inspiring.

so to get to the point, i finally worked up the courage to email it to kaja foglio. and a few minutes ago she replied back to me praising the work and asking if they could post it in a fanart section of their website. honestly i could die from the glee in my heart right now.

i just wanted to share this little shinning moment in my life with you all.

well being at a college in florida, exactly where the last hurricane hit was kinda good and kinda sucked. on the one hand i got a week and a half off, went back home, got to see lacey for two weekends and went back to work and made a little bit of scratch. on the downside the campus looks like a bomb hit it and thats after a weeks worth of cleanup. ants were living in my closet and i have been battling them daily. the best part of this being that the school decided that saturday classes would be a smashing way of making up the 7 days of school we missed. oh how i loathe the faculty..... well seeing as im in my programing class i should wrap this up. will post more later, see ya space cowboys......
